Does Greyhound actually check ID? ›

When you get to the station, see one of our agents at the ticket counter, or use the self-serve kiosk if the station has one. You can also show a valid ID to the driver and be allowed to board the bus if you do not have your ticket.

You can cancel your ticket up to 15 minutes prior to departure and instantly get a refund in the form of a voucher which you can use on a future trip. Check our our cancellation policy here. If you've experienced a departure delay of more than 120 minutes, you can request a refund.

Change Booking Date, Time, or Destination

You can change your departure date, time, or destination. You can refund your original ticket instantly (see cancellation policy) and the value of your voucher can be used for a new booking. Trips can be changed up to 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Following federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines, we regularly conduct random ticket verification checks onboard trains to ensure that passengers are properly ticketed. Please be prepared to show valid photo identification to a member of the onboard crew upon request.

Log in to the Greyhound app on your phone. If you use the app, you need to check in with the app 2 hours before departure, and then just show the QR code to the driver. No ID required.

Greyhound will accept one carry-on bag under 25 pounds, and one checked bag which must not exceed 63 inches when adding up the dimensions (length + width + height) and should not weigh more than 50 pounds. Up to 2 additional bags can be checked for $20 each.

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel a flight. However, you may need to pay a change or cancellation fee depending on the airline you booked with and the fare class of your ticket.

Do I need an ID to board my bus? Yes, Greyhound requires you to present an ID to an agent to board the bus. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier's requirements. Alternative IDs, like a college ID, won't work.

To get on the bus is necessary to show the bus driver the ticket (printed or in digital format), as well as your DNI, NIE or passport which justify the ownership.
