What is the best weapon for killing Antlions in grounded? ›

Don't count on this, and those not good at Guarding should still take a good shield and armor. Also, burrowed Antlions have around twice the health of wanderers. Grounded's Wiki says that Antlions are resistant to Fresh, Spicy, and Chopping damage, but weak to Salty and Slashing, so take a salt weapon or a sword.

It requires a Workbench to craft and primarily requires defeating Antlions around the yard and collecting their parts, as well as collecting some Silk Rope. Incredibly large and heavy.

At a Smithing Station, enhancing an Antlion Armor piece down the Sleek Upgrade path imbues it with the +Thirst Rate effect. This reduces thirst drain rate by 5%.

Ideally, with at least 2 players, with 3000HP worth of armor and corresponding heal, Ham Bat or equivalent weapons. Simply hit Antlion and do not bother to evade any attack, heal up whenever the players health is low.

They are recommended to be killed with a level 5 tier 1 weapon, or more preferably, a good tier 2 weapon like the Stinger Spear to exploit their stabbing weakness. The Crow Crossbow or Insect Bow is also very effective, especially if the player can shoot them in the eye.
