Mr. and Mrs. George Downey, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Webb and children spent Sunday in Huntland, with relatives.

Will Allen of Omaha, Texas, is in Jackson county visiting. He has recently retired as rural carrier after 30 years service. Mrs. Henry Jones and daughter, Henrietta, and little Mary Elizabeth Jones came up from Wetumpka for a few days visit. Mr.

and Mrs. J. F. Tate and his mother, Mrs. Bertha Tate, spent Sunday in Anniston.

Mrs. Bertha Tate remained for a longer visit, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Metcalf from Ohio passed through here Monday of this week. Mr.

Metcalf was formerly connected with the TVA here. Mrs. Charley Coffey, Rash; George Elkins, Hamilton, Ohio; Kate Roden, John Mason and Howard Woods of Pisgah; Glen Derrick, city, are patients in Hodges hospital, Mrs. Brewster and Miss Cora B. Province left Tuesday to visit relatives in Little Rock, Ark.

Mrs. Dunlap accompanied them to Memphis for a visit. Miss Will Maples and little Billie Heath left this week for California to visit her brother, Houston Maples. They will return by way of the Panama Canal. Mrs.

Theron Gardner and little daughter joined her husband last week in Bessemer where Mr. Gardner has charge of the Gulf distribution plant there. The people of the town give them up with regret, but congratulate him on his deserved promotion. The decorations consisted of cut flowers with miniature wedding parties of dolls, Couples were formed by matching the years celebrated with the emblems of each. A contest on "The June Bride's Ring" then a Dictionary game on building a family by finding the correct children whose pictures were found in the room.
